Using simple digital technology, creating and installing your images into FotoFrame is incredibly easy. You can do it at home using your digital camera, a simple inkjet printer and transparent paper.
- Follow your digital camera instructions to download your image from your camera to your computer.
- Use transparent paper/transparency film designed for or labeled for color LaserJet printing. This type of transparent paper has a rough feel to it. [Type E transparencies for overhead projectors are smooth and will NOT hold the ink. Do not use.]
“Printing Preferences”
- Paper/Quality window: Under paper options choose “8 ½ x 11” for paper size; “transparency film” for paper type; and “maximum dpi” or “highest” for print quality.
- Effect window: Under resizing options choose the percentage of normal size that will translate to either 5 x 7 or 8 x 10 depending on which fixture you purchased. [SMALL FIXTURE (9 X 9) takes a 5 x 7 photo. LARGE FIXTURE (13 X 13) takes an 8 x 10 photo.]
FOR EXAMPLE: If the image is at approximately 8 ½ x 11 in size, like the paper size you’ll be printing on, you need to resize the image as such - choose 60% of normal size to print 5 x 7 or choose 95% of normal size to print 8 x 10. This will not size the image perfectly but will be as close as possible to the picture size you want.
- After choosing the appropriate printing preference, load the transparent paper into your printer and print.
- Trim the printed transparency to the appropriate size and install in your new FotoFrame fixture.
